Scripting for the Visually Challenged

Posted on : 28 Jun 2015

Mr Umesh Jere has been doing voluntary work of trans-scripting well-known books in Marathi into Braille script software versions for last few years. He donates soft copies of Braille books to schools for the visually challenged free of cost. He has trained a team of more than 300 volunteers to participate in this work. He plans to cross the linguistic barrier and extend this service to other languages in India.

There is a scarcity of Braille scripted books in many Indian languages and Umesh wants to fill this lacuna. Umesh needs many more colleagues to realize this dream. You can contact Mr Umesh Jere on 9822021726 and also watch his interview on YouTube given below.
